Brief
Design and develop website for new medical clinic
Challenges
- To protect doctor and patient privacy, couldn’t use photographs
- Make sure that the website is optimized to be found on Google
Solutions
- Registered a domain that includes two key terms: ‘addiction’ and ‘therapy’ and used a unique top level domain of “.TO” to indicate that the clinic is in Toronto.
- When the clinic first opened, we started by building a basic, placeholder site. In this way the clinic immediately had an Internet presence and clinic staff could focus on building the practice.
- Once the clinic was established, we came back to build a more attractive site.
- Explored a few options and landed on using illustrations to protect privacy. Also used a hexagonal graphic element that echoes a key therapy used by the clinic.
- Built a custom coded solution that allows clinic staff to login to the site and easily send links for any content on the site.
